Although January is traditionally a slower month for automotive sales compared to the high-volume period between October and December, Jetour has managed to buck the trend, thanks in part to the popularity of its initial Dashing and X70 Plus models and further boosted by the strong reception of its newly launched T-Series.

The SUV brand recorded its strongest January yet selling 1 550 vehicles. This is officially their strongest month of sales to date locally, following record breaking months in December with 1 371 units and before that, with 1 235 vehicles sold in November.

Of the units sold in January, 431 were T1s and 665 were T2s.

The Jetour T1, launched in October last year, is perfect for active individuals or couples seeking a compact yet versatile SUV, combining stylish design with rugged capability. Available in four models from the 1.5TD Edge to the 2.0TD Odyssey, it boasts 540° panoramic view cameras, full LED lighting, cloud-like seats, advanced infotainment, 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a choice of 1.5TD or 2.0TD engines and is priced from R514 900.

The Jetour T2 is the more rugged of the two, with a rear-mounted spare wheel and side-hinged tailgate. The T2 comes in three variants including 4-wheel drive options, high ground clearance, 540° panoramic view cameras, LED lighting and practical features including roof rails and heated mirrors. The Jetour T2 range is priced from R569 900.

Launched in September 2024, the stylish, city-smart five-seater Jetour Dashing has become more common on South African roads, instantly recognisable by its sleek LED headlights and coupe-like profile. Ideal for urban drivers and young professionals, the Dashing features advanced technology and safety along with a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine and 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The Jetour X70 Plus is a seven-seater SUV that combines family-friendly versatility with striking design, highlighted by LED headlights, a bold grille, and a quad-exhaust rear. This model is perfect for families or those needing extra space for passengers and cargo and is priced from R454 900, with the Jetour Dashing priced from R439 900.

“The success that we are seeing with Jetour in South Africa comes down to listening to what local customers want and then delivering on it, from thoughtful design and advanced technology to a seamless customer experience and strong local support networks. By investing early in nationwide parts availability, dealer partnerships and direct engagement with our community, we’ve been able to build trust and excitement around a brand that more and more South Africans are now proud to drive,” says Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa.

With the Jetour T2 named among the 2026 South African Car of the Year finalists, and with the ongoing rollout of both current and updated models, as well as plans to enter the PHEV market in the near future, Jetour South Africa is poised for continued growth well into 2026 and beyond.
